TPC Tampa Bay is a PGA Tour Facility.  What does that mean?
As a PGA Tour facility, TPC Tampa Bay is owned and operated by the PGA Tour. As such, TPC Tampa Bay is the annual host for the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am and operates according to the highest standards of operation within the golf industry. More so, guests have the chance to experience what it is like to be a Tour player!

How far is TPC Tampa Bay from the Tampa International Airport?
TPC Tampa Bay is approximately 22 miles from the Tampa International Airport with a driving time of 25-30 minutes depending on traffic.

What is your dress code?
Appropriate attire is required and must be observed at all times. Denim, bathing attire, T-shirts, gym shorts, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, cut-off shorts or denim, short shorts, tennis outfits and other dress of a similar nature is not appropriate. Shorts may be worn but must be of Bermuda length, and men must wear collared shirts.

What is your cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy for non-group play is 48 hours. This policy is strictly enforced. The club regularly pursues collection of fees for no-shows.

Can I bring my own food and beverage to the course?
TPC Tampa Bay serves a wide variety of food and beverage in our restaurant and on-course beverage cart; therefore personal products are not permitted. The club also has coolers on site that are available for your use at no additional cost.

Can I wear metal spikes?
TPC Tampa Bay strongly recommends the use of metal spike alternatives. Alternative spikes are available for sale in the Golf Shop.

How long should it take to play the course?
TPC Tampa Bay is rated at 4:22 hours. If there is a large group outing on the course, carts are restricted to their path or heavy wind is present, this time can be extended. Pace of play is strictly enforced. Slower groups will be monitored to ensure timeliness and may be asked to skip holes if they fall too far behind.

Even though it is hot in the summer, is it still a good time to play golf?
Yes. TPC Tampa Bay tee sheet starts at 7:00am throughout the summer. At that time of the day, the weather is more pleasant and will usually allow you to complete your round ahead of the high heat and afternoon storm patterns.

Are there caddies available?
No, but you are welcome to bring your own caddy. The price for golf is the same whether you walk or ride.

What is TPC Tampa Bay’s cart policy?
Carts as well as a bag of practice balls are included with your golf fees. TPC Tampa Bay features a 90 degree rule all throughout the year with the exception of January and early February when we begin preparing for the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am. There may occasionally be other exceptions due to weather or maintenance practices.

What set of tees should I play from?
Because the club elevation is close to sea level, the course tends to play longer than most guests expect. Based on the numerous water hazards and bunkers too, we recommend that most men play from the white markers and women from the red markers. Single digit handicap players may find the course more suitable by moving back one box.

How long does it take for the greens to return to normal after aeration?
Aerified greens usually take 10 days to return to normal. This time line can be affected by the weather. Please be sure to ask the golf shop staff if your play is scheduled after an aerification. We usually aerify our greens in mid June and late August.

What is over-seeding and what kind of course conditions can I expect after over-seeding?
Over-seeding is the planting of Rye grass which will withstand the cooler temperatures of the winter. This process is commonplace for courses in the South. After over-seeding, carts are usually restricted to the paths for at least one month. Because this process involves growing new grass, the fairways are a little longer and the course is a little wetter. The course is still in great shape and very playable during a recent over-seed. Please ask the golf shop for an update on course conditions if you are scheduled.
