TPC Cartagena at Karibana
The PGA TOUR’s TPC Network has expanded its international portfolio with the debut of TPC Cartagena at Karibana, the first international standard resort and real estate development in Colombia and the second licensed TPC property in Latin America. Karibana fortifies the PGA TOUR’s presence in the region, following the opening of TPC Cancun in Cancun, Mexico, and the launch of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica in 2012. The announcement was made by David Pillsbury, president of PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties and EVP, Championship Management.
“We are excited about continuing to build the TPC brand in Latin America with the opening of TPC Cartagena at Karibana, which will set the bar for remarkable golf and luxury resort amenities in the region,” said Pillsbury. “With golf returning to the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro for the first time in 100 years and the rapid growth of professional golf through the development of PGA TOUR Latinoamérica, it’s only a matter of time before golf experiences a cultural revolution throughout Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and South America.”
Karibana will feature TPC Cartagena at Karibana, a golf course designed by Nicklaus Design firm, a Clubhouse, Beach Club, three exclusive thematic beaches, luxury apartments, a 5-star hotel managed by Conrad, Hilton’s luxury brand, tennis courts, spa, water sports and ecological tours.
The property will be part of the TPC Passport program, offering access to all eligible private club members from throughout the TPC Network of clubs.
