Host of the The National 2018
TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm in Potomac, Md. will play host to The National June 25-July 1 during the PGA TOUR’s 2017-2018 season after a successful event in 2017.
The National features one of the best fields in golf, and past champions include Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, Billy Hurley III, and 2017 winner, Kyle Stanley.
The National was first contested at Congressional Country Club in 2007 when K.J. Choi was crowned champion. The tournament remained at Congressional until 2010 and 2011 when it moved to Aronimink Golf Club near Philadelphia. After returning to Congressional in 2012, The National was played at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Prince William County, Virginia, in 2015. The National was held at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farms for the first time in 2017.
The National, managed by TGR Live, makes a significant impact each year in the Washington D.C. community. Thousands of youth benefit annually through access to the game of golf during tournament week in addition to numerous impactful education and college access programs through the TGR Foundation.
