Blaine is a city based in Anoka County but part of the Minneapolis- Saint Paul metropolitan area. Its convenient drive routes are Highway 35W, U.S. Highway 10 and Minnesota Interstate 65. Blaine is 13 miles from Minneapolis and 20 miles from St. Paul The easy accessibility to Blaine makes it an attractive location for business and residential living. (Nearest Airports: International Minneapolis- St. Paul Airport and Key Air Twin Cities, Blaine) There are many things to see and do. Blaine is home to Minnesota’s 600 acre National Sports Center. The multi-complex Sports Center is home to professional soccer team, Minnesota United FC. Blaine also is the location of the Four Seasons Curling Club which has been named the official Olympic Training Site for curling.
The city of Blaine currently has 65 parks covering over 650 acres of open space for the community and visitors of the city to enjoy. Over 50 miles of trails are enveloped within these parks offering the option to bike, rollerblade, run or take a quiet stroll. The Anoka County wave pool is located in Blaine at Bunker Hills Regional Park. The Bunker Hills Regional Park also includes activities such as hiking, dog park, camping, biking, horseback riding, archery, golf and more. Parking permits ($5) are requested for non- residents. Blaine’s Lakeside Commons Park offers amenities such as a public beach, splash pad, beach house, boathouse with concessions, canoe and kayak rental, playground, and volleyball.
