Awesome day thank you TPC Scottsdale for your generosity and continued support of our chapter The First Tee of Phoenix!

Its Monday! Today we have hole #5 on the Champions course. You are 130 yards out to this front pin location with little room to miss left or right but plenty of room to beyond the pin. What is your move? Do you play it safe or attack the pin? #MondayMoves

If you hit a drive good enough to be out 130 on this hole you better attack. No laying off!!

PW to pin, put the brakes on to keep it close.

I’m dropping onto the back of the green because I love 💕 draining 75-footers!

Julio has the champs course looking good 👌

Play 48degree wedge just past pin spin it back

Gap wedge at the pin.

no one remembers playing it safe !! Attack

Attack!

Play it like a links hole, hit it short and play the bounce.

Choke down 1/2” on a nine iron and try to put it just past the flag! #TRY

I can’t remember what I did!😎

Attack with a wedge

ATTACK!

The Greatest Show on Grass

Waste Management Phoenix Open

The Waste Management Phoenix Open, known as “The Greatest Show on Grass,” held at TPC Scottsdale annually in early February. In 2020 the tournament will start on Monday, January 27th and end on Sunday, February 2nd. The WMPO is the best-attended golf tournament in the world with more than 700,000 fans in attendance.

The 2019 Waste Management Phoenix Open raised more than $13.2 million dollars for charity, setting a tournament record for the eighth straight year.  The Thunderbirds and the WMPO have raised more than $45M for charities since 2010 when Waste Management became the title sponsor.

The WMPO has won the PGA TOUR’s “Best Title Sponsor Integration award for diverting 100% of tournament waste from landfills. Zero waste means nothing from the tournament went to landfills in three years – not a single cup, can, sign or container.

All ticket sales and volunteers are coordinated through the Thunderbird organization.
