Golf Course Renovation Announcement
Following an extensive renovation that began in November 2024, our course proudly reopened in August 2025 for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, offering our membership an enhanced and elevated golfing experience.
Scope of the Project
The renovation encompassed:
• Rebuilding and resurfacing all 18 greens complexes, practice greens, and tee boxes.
• Replacing green surrounds with Zeon Zoysia, a proven surface for firmer, better-draining play. This also matches the newly resurfaced fairways.
• Upgrade portions of the irrigation system, including single-head control for improved water management.
• The work on the greens reclaimed additional square footage, offering more hole locations and enhanced playability.
• Tees were resurfaced with improved drainage to ensure optimal conditions year-round.
Why the Renovation was Necessary
The greens experienced significant mutation over time, compromising their ability to perform at a premium level. While the top 4 inches of the greens were replaced during the last resurfacing, the underlying structures dated back to 1988. This comprehensive renovation addressed these issues and restored the greens to peak condition.
Project Timeline
• November 2024: Nine holes closed, with the remaining nine staying open.
• January 2025: The second nine holes closed.
• Driving Range: Remained open throughout the project.
• Putting and Chipping Greens: Were closed during some of the renovations, but stayed open as long as it was feasible.
• Clubhouse and Amenities: All other facilities, including food and beverage services, remained fully operational.
