TPC Summerlin Golf Course Overview
Innovative design and a reverence for nature are the hallmarks of truly great golf courses, and TPC Summerlin’s outstanding championship layout is no exception.
TPC Summerlin was honored by Golf Digest magazine as “One of America’s Best Golf Courses” and named by Nevada Business Magazine as the “#1 private golf course in Nevada” in 2006. It also was ranked No. 39 in Golf World magazine’s 2012 PGA TOUR’s Course Ranking issue among the TOUR venues the pros like to play.
TPC Summerlin’s par-72, 7,243-yard layout was carved from a magnificent swath of rugged desert terrain by renowned golf course architect Bobby Weed with PGA TOUR veteran Fuzzy Zoeller serving as a consultant.
TPC Summerlin was the first golf course in Nevada to be certified as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System by Audubon International. Great care was taken during the construction of TPC Summerlin to preserve and protect natural wildlife habitats.
The golf course meanders through arroyos and canyons. Lush bentgrass greens, striking flora, numerous water features and an abundance of honey mesquite and pine trees all contrast dramatically with undisturbed desert washes and other raw landscape features. The result is one of the most visually stunning tests of golf in Nevada.
TPC Summerlin proudly hosts the PGA TOUR’s Shriners Children’s Open. While challenging enough for the best players in the world during and the home of Tiger Woods’ first Professional victory, multiple tees on each hole enable golfers of all abilities to enjoy this exceptional layout.
