Golf Course Renovation Announcement
We are excited to announce a significant renovation project for our golf course that began in November 2024, with completion slated for the reopening ahead of the 2025 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Scope of the Project
The renovation will encompass:
• Rebuilding and resurfacing all 18 greens complexes, practice greens, and tee boxes.
• Replacing green surrounds to Zeon Zoysia, a proven surface for firmer, better-draining play. This will also match the newly resurfaced fairways.
• Upgrading portions of the irrigation system, including single-head control for improved water management.
• The work on the greens will reclaim additional square footage, offering more hole locations and enhanced playability.
• Tees will be resurfaced with improved drainage to ensure optimal conditions year-round.
Why the Renovation is Necessary
The greens have experienced significant mutation over time, compromising their ability to perform at a premium level. While the top 4 inches of the greens were replaced during the last resurfacing, the underlying structures date back to 1988. This comprehensive renovation will address these issues and restore the greens to peak condition.
Project Timeline
• November 2024: Nine holes will close, with the remaining nine staying open.
• January 2025: The second nine holes will close.
• Driving Range: Remains open throughout the project.
• Putting and Chipping Greens: Will be closed during renovations but will stay open as long as it is feasible.
• Clubhouse and Amenities: All other facilities, including food and beverage services, will remain fully operational.
