Volunteer Appreciation

Thanks to TPC San Antonio, Valero Texas Open Volunteers will again have the ability to book their rounds using the online portal.

As a ‘thank you’ to our hardworking and loyal volunteers, it is our pleasure to reward those who have gone the extra mile in support of the Valero Texas Open with the opportunity to play a round (or two) of golf at TPC San Antonio. Thank you for reading closely the detailed directions below for booking your volunteer appreciation rounds.

• Volunteers who work 18 – 29 hours for the Valero Texas Open are eligible to receive one (1) round of golf at TPC San Antonio.
• Volunteers who work 30 hours or more are eligible for a second round of golf at TPC San Antonio.
• Volunteers cannot play more than two (2) rounds of golf at the volunteer rate.
• Volunteers can bring up to three (3) guests per round at the special discounted rate of $170 plus tax per player (Monday – Thursday) and $200 plus tax per player (Friday – Sunday).

GOLF FEE: Volunteers will be charged a fee of $35 plus tax per round of golf redeemed at TPC San Antonio.

TRANSFERABILITY:  All volunteer round transfers will be completed by the Valero Texas Open tournament office.  Please contact the Valero Texas Open tournament office with any questions and/or inquiries regarding round transferability.  Transfer window is April 20^th, 2026 – May 4^th, 2026.

REDEMPTION DATES: Golf rounds may be redeemed for play May 15 thru September 15, 2026.  Additional dates for the Canyons golf course only (when it is scheduled to be the resort course), will be December 1 thru February 28, 2027. When making your plans, please note that The Oaks Course is closed until 11 A.M. once per week and The Canyons is closed until 11 A.M. once per week.  Additional course closures for aerification include:

TEE TIMES: Monday – Friday (ANYTIME; Booked no earlier than 72 hours in advance on the non-member course) Saturday – Sunday (After 10am; Booked no earlier than 72 hours in advance on the non-member course).

BOOKING:  Golf round(s) MUST be scheduled online by visiting the link above. The online system will only allow reservations 72 hours prior to your desired day/time of play.  If you do not have an account with TPC you will need to create an account and a credit card will need to be put into the system.  You will not be charged until you show up for your round or you NO SHOW.

ELIGIBILITY WILL BE CHECKED AT THE GOLF SHOP COUNTER:  All VTO volunteers will need to sign in when redeeming their round to ensure the $35 rate. All guests of volunteers will be $170 plus tax per player (Monday – Thursday) and $200 plus tax (Friday – Sunday).  If your name is not on the list, you will need to wait until the Valero Texas Open tournament office has been reached and is able to confirm your eligibility. Once verified volunteers will need to adhere to the booking policy outlined above. If a volunteer fails to show up for their scheduled tee time, the golf round will be forfeited and your card charged. NO exceptions.

*TPC San Antonio has a private membership, one course each day is strictly members only and you will not be able to book your volunteer round on it.  The member-only golf course is on a rotation determined by the TPC golf staff 75 days in advance.

GUEST RATE: Guests playing with a Volunteer redeeming their Volunteer golf round will receive a discounted guest fee of $170 plus tax (Monday – Thursday) and $200 plus tax (Friday – Sunday).

WEATHER POLICY: If inclement weather closes the course or prohibits you from finishing your round on the day that you have scheduled your volunteer round, TPC San Antonio staff will determine alternate arrangements (within our window of play). No additional dates will be added after February 28, 2027.  Do not wait until the last day to play your round.
