PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The PGA TOUR and PGA of America are pleased to announce total proceeds from the “Golf Fore Las Vegas” charity tournament, with more than $100,000 raised for the Direct Impact Fund in support of Las Vegas shooting victims and their families.

Contributions from the Nov. 20 event held at TPC Las Vegas stemmed from TOUR and PGA industry partners, including Pepsi, TaylorMade and SERVPRO making donations of $10,000 each. More than 120 local first responders participated in the event to compete for prizes, which were also provided by event sponsors.

“It was truly remarkable to witness so many entities come together to help others,” said TPC Las Vegas General Manager Dan Hammell. “Our community was shaken by this awful tragedy, but it’s clear after today’s event that we’re still united, and we’re still strong. On behalf of the PGA TOUR and PGA of America, we’d like to thank everyone for their generosity and thoughtfulness as Las Vegas continues to heal.”

The Direct Impact Fund was selected as the beneficiary after several PGA TOUR professionals donated their winnings from the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. Leading the way was Las Vegas native and University of Nevada, Las Vegas graduate Charley Hoffman, who donated 100 percent of his prize money to the cause, totaling $98,600. The players, combined with industry partners from the Nov. 20 event, supports the PGA TOUR’s motto of “Together, anything’s possible.”
