DULUTH, Ga. – TPC Sugarloaf will host its annual “Twenty-Fore Straight” 24-hour golf marathon on Sunday, June 11 at 5 p.m. with proceeds benefitting four nonprofit organizations dedicated to raising awareness and funds in the fight against pediatric cancer, including: Rally! Foundation, Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation and Sydney’s Incredible Defeat of Ewing’s Sarcoma (SIDES).

Expanding on last year’s inaugural event, the 2017 tournament has been renamed “Mason’s Twenty-Fore Straight” in honor of Mason Glassgold, who just days before his 11th birthday, lost a courageous, three-year fight against a cancerous brain tumor. Those teeing it up will do so in remembrance of him, as well as other brave children battling the disease.

“Last year was our first year hosting this tournament, and we raised more than $60,000,” said TPC Sugarloaf General Manager Mike Maloney. “Our members and guests were so deeply moved by the event, we decided to raise the bar with hopes of raising more than $100,000 this year. We hope our passion for the cause will inspire others in the community to join the effort.”

In addition to all-night glow-in-the-dark golf, families are invited to enjoy delicious food courtesy of PGA TOUR Pro Stewart Cink’s competitive barbecue team, aptly named “Que School.” The event will also feature a silent auction for the chance to bid on vacation getaways, golf gear and much more.

Two- and three-person teams are invited to participate. To register or volunteer, contact Chad O’Dell at [email protected], or call (770) 418-1994.
