Donations to promote ongoing work and long-term needs for community health and services organizations

Caledon, Ont. – As part of an effort to highlight the important work and ongoing needs of local health and community service organizations, TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley and the Humeniuk Foundation announced on Monday the continuation of their donation program towards relief efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ongoing donations aim to cultivate awareness for organizations dedicated to providing essential health care and programs in the Caledon community and beyond, providing an immediate boost and raising support for ongoing needs.

The second of a series of donations includes a commitment to match contributions to the Headwaters Health Care Foundation up to $50,000 from April 13th until May 1st, with a number of additional donations to be announced in the coming days.

“At a time when so many in our community are in need, we felt it was essential that our organization and family not only give these organizations financial support, but also use our platform to highlight the important work they are doing,” said TPC Toronto President Chris Humeniuk.

TPC Toronto and the Humeniuk Foundation previously announced a $100,000 donation to Caledon Community Services towards COVID-19 relief efforts on March 30.

“We hope this program not only provides assistance during these difficult times, but builds awareness and stimulates support from throughout our community, whether through financial donations or even volunteering one’s time,” added Humeniuk.

The Headwaters Health Care Foundation focuses fundraising efforts on ensuring critical needs are met for priority medical equipment at the Headwaters Health Care Centre, which serves the Dufferin County – Caledon community.

“A special thank you to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley and the Humeniuk family for their $50,000 matching gift in support of Headwaters, and our entire community. TPC Toronto understands that Headwaters needs our community now, more than ever. This is an unprecedented situation and this gift will better enable us to quickly respond to all of the Hospital’s emerging needs due to COVID-19, while not ignoring the needs of our large, and still very active, obstetrics program (over 850 births per year), Emergency Department (over 42,000 non-COVID related visits annually) and of course our inpatient units, including our ICU,” said Dora Boylen-Pabst, CEO Headwaters Health Care Foundation.
