TPC Harding Park Charitable Initiatives
TPC Harding Park is proud to support Birdies for the Brave®, a national initiative dedicated to honoring and showing appreciation to the courageous men and women of our United States Armed Forces, First Responders, and their families.
Birdies for the Brave was created in 2004 to raise funds for combat-wounded veterans. Thanks to the vision and the passionate support of PGA TOUR players, tournament fans, volunteers, TPC club members and corporate sponsors, Birdies for the Brave has grown exponentially across the PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and Korn Ferry Tour.
The program has always encompassed a broad spectrum of military outreach and appreciation activities conducted during PGA TOUR tournaments, as well as a series of fundraising events hosted at partner properties – an effort that has raised much-needed funds for military home front charities which have provided direct services for military members, veterans, and their families ranging from financial aid and rehabilitation programs to housing, counseling and educational scholarships and career development and recruitment.
In 2024, Birdies for the Brave was proud to broaden and expand our programming and support to include First Responders and their families and a broader scope of qualified charitable organizations.
Birdies for the Brave® supports qualified 501(c)(3) organizations that provide a wide variety of programs and services supporting military members, first responders and their families. The organizations the program supports are selected in a joint effort by PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR tournaments and our TPC network, and are vetted and approved by PGA TOUR Charities, Inc.

The First Tee of San Francisco
First Tee — San Francisco is a unique youth development program that uses golf to teach valuable life skills that goes beyond the course. Values inherent to the game of golf: integrity, honesty, perseverance, and confidence, are seamlessly integrated into fun, engaging activities offered at their newly constructed Sandy Tatum Learning Center and multiple sites across San Francisco.
First Tee — San Francisco was founded in 2004 as part of the renovation of the Harding Park Golf Course complex. The program is a collaborative effort between TPC Harding Park, the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, and the non-profit organization First Tee.
