Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.February 2020– The TPC Network, comprised of 32 premier private, resort and daily fee golf properties, announces the appointment of Geoff Gilliand as its new general manager of TPC River’s Bend. Gilliand comes from TPC Sugarloaf, where he saw outstanding success as their director of sales and marketing for the past three years. Prior to joining the Network, Gilliand spent five years with Toll Brothers Golf in the roles of general manager, assistant general manager and director of membership at clubs in South Carolina and Colorado. Before that, he held notable positions as director of membership and marketing at private clubs in Florida, including Atlantis Golf Club and Parkland Golf and Country Club. Geoff is also a graduate of the University of Florida.

Additionally, TPC Twin Cities announces Chris Weinhold has been promoted to general manager following Alan Cull’s retirement. Chris attended the University of Northwestern, St. Paul where he earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems and a minor in Accounting in 2003. In 2004, he attended the Golf Academy of America, where he graduated as valedictorian with a golf management degree. While attending the golf academy, Chris started working at TPC Myrtle Beach in the fall of 2005. After moving back to Minnesota, he started at TPC Twin Cities in the spring of 2006. Chris held various positions as an outside operations staff member and in the golf shop and became the head golf professional in 2012. Most recently, he was elevated to assistant general manager at TPC Twin Cities in the spring of 2019.

“Both Geoff and Chris have been with the TPC Network for a number of years and I am excited to watch them both take this next step in their careers,” said John Hugghins, senior vice president of the TPC Network. “Considering their backgrounds and tenure with us, we feel confident we have chosen the right people to take these clubs to the next level.”

TPC River’s Bend is a par-72, 7,180-yard championship layout course with a design that preserves natural habitats and serves as a refuge for numerous wildlife species, earning it recognition as an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International. TPC Twin Cities’ par-72, 7,164-yard championship golf course was designed by legendary golfer and golf course architect Arnold Palmer and is located 15 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
