News

We’ll start with the best of the bunch. Opened southeast of Jacksonville just over four decades ago, TPC Sawgrass is the home of the Players Championship, the PGA Tour’s headquarters, and one of the most iconic holes in the game—the island green 17th hole at the Stadium course. Hall of Fame architect Pete Dye also helped design the property’s second course, Dye’s Valley, with the aforementioned Weed and player consultant Jerry Pate (the winner of the first Players Championship held at TPC Sawgrass in 1982).

When it comes to bucket list rounds of golf, you can find plenty of deserving destinations all in one place: the TPC Network. Comprised of 30 courses across North America, the network features 11 courses that host an annual PGA Tour event, and of those 30 total courses, 14 are open to the public via resort stays and/or daily green fees.

Renovated in 2014, the Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish course hosts the annual Waste Management Phoenix Open. Its famous par-three 16th hole is a fan favorite during the event. With pristine greens, meticulous maintenance, and a backdrop of the McDowell Mountains, the course is a treat for both pros and recreational golfers. The Champions Course at TPC Scottsdale also provides both gorgeous scenery and challenges for golfers of all skill levels.

The Stadium Course, home of The Players Championship, was built in 1980 as the event's permanent home. Designer Pete Dye created the course that includes the famous par three 17th hole and its island green.
